Space Saving Boiler
This customer required a large amount of hot water but didn’t want to take up valuable space in the home. Boost Plumbing managed to install all the necessary products to meet their demands in a very compact space allowing room for a walk-in shower to be added to the renovation of their house.
It’s important to note when installing boilers and/or cylinders in confined spaces that there is also enough space to service all parts of the system. There is nothing worse for a repair engineer than arriving at a job only to find they have to remove other elements of the system before they can access the faulty part.
Boost Plumbing also installed two bathrooms at this property. The main bathroom was installed with a huge rainfall shower head which required a high volume of hot water. The pressurised hot water cylinder delivered a steady 21 litres per minute of hot water at 65 degrees, plenty for three showers
Heating system overhaul
Tom had just purchased his first house and was looking for a reliable plumber. Tom had a truly ancient heating and hot water system in his house, a Parkray boiler and one radiator.
We recommended a new Vaillant Ecotec 28 pro 6 new radiators and a towel rail in the bathroom. As with many jobs, Tom’s ideas changed as the job developed and we fitted 6 compact radiators, 1 column radiator and a heated towel rail.
We also removed the walk-in shower in the bathroom and installed a bath with an over-bath shower. The kitchen sink was also repositioned to allow for French doors.
New bath installed in loft
Hillview – Soundwell, Miss Fream
Miss Fream wanted to install this large 2m x 0.9m bath in her loft, but she wanted it set in the floor. We managed to have the room downstairs designed to hide the bath and the steel frame that was custom-made to support the almost tone in weight when the bath was full. We also recommended a hidden bath filler and inset shower valve to control the bath, which Miss Fream had installed. Certainly, nice for a relaxing soak.
New boiler and radiators with laminate floor
Lodge Causway. Fishponds – Mrs Green
On this job, we removed the Baxi boiler, hot water cylinder, loft tanks, and radiators.
We installed a Vaillant Ecotec pro 28 and new radiators. The main challenge of this job was the laminate floor fitted through the hall and dining room.
We had to carefully remove over half of the laminate and bedding, install our pipework and refit the laminate floor. All went very well with no damage to the floor.
High level boiler and heating controls
Tony Holmes – Welden Rd, Keynsham
Tony required a flexible heating control due to his travelling commitments. Also due to family coming and going regularly, he required the control of each room independently.
We installed the latest Vaillant zone controls allowing Tony to monitor and control each room of his home individually from anywhere via his smartphone.

ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ
vSMART™ means you’re in control wherever you are
System Specification
In 2016, Ms Watson, the homeowner decided to upgrade the heating and hot water system in her property. The upgrade involved the removal of an ‘A’ rated 30kW combi boiler, with the aim to ultimately increase the efficiency of the system, whilst also minimising monthly outgoings.
After some research, Ms Watson selected the newly launched ecoTEC exclusive along with a Vaillant vSMART™.
The ecoTEC exclusive offers outstanding eco-credentials which optimise running cycles, resulting in even lower gas consumption.
The property is 98m2, with one shower and bath, after a short assessment, it was felt that a 35kW output boiler was more than sufficient for the homeowner’s circumstances and requirements.
In order to further maximise the efficiency of the system Ms Watson opted for a vSMART™, which is weather compensating. This is an extremely busy household, with all members of the property being in and out of the house at various times, therefore it was felt that the vSMART™ was ideal as heating and hot water can be managed anytime, anywhere from the vSMART™ app.
Outcome
This project has been hugely successful, as the property is now fully equipped with a cost-effective heating and hot water system. The monthly bills for this property since the installation have been reduced, as of writing, from £119 per month to £70 per month, offering a yearly fuel saving of 41%.
What the customer said…
“I decided to upgrade my system to a company with proven technology that was simple to use, Vaillant was the obvious choice. I am absolutely delighted with my ecoTEC exclusive boiler with green iQ technology, and am genuinely astounded with the money savings I am seeing”.
Ms L. Watson, Homeowner
Upgrade to new efficient heating system
Jenna Linton – February 2020
Jenna was an existing customer for around three years. In her last house, we supplied and installed a new boiler with a tight budget in mind as their house was on the market to sell. We also repaired Jenna’s boiler several times before we were left with no choice but to replace it.
Once Jenna and her family moved to their new house it became apparent that the existing heating system was outdated, inefficient and generally not up to the demand of modern life.
We recommended removing the 30-year plus Baxi boiler, hot water tank and loft tanks, and installing a Vaillant Ecotec 832 in the landing cupboard. We also supplied an option to replace the radiator as these were also dated and inefficient.
Jenna decided to carry out all the above works and also install a Smart control to complement their new modern heating and hot water system. Due to the time of year, we supply heaters while the heating was down and we completed the work in 3 days.
Sam our latest addition to the team removing his first fire.
Below is what it looked like when Sam had finished.
This is a picture of the cupboards where the existing hot water cylinder lived.
Here is a picture of the boiler we fitted in the cupboard once the cylinder had been removed.
